GOBA's Mission

The Greater Orlando Baptist Association (GOBA) seeks to cooperate with its churches in fulfilling the Great Commission in three primary ways:

  • Encourage pastors.
  • Equip pastors & churches.
  • Engage churches to partner together in missions.

Every pastor needs a pastor. Dr. Joel Breidenbaugh, your Executive Director of Missions (EDOM), prays for you and is available to you, should you need to talk or receive counsel. He has served in pastoral ministry since 1996 and has been training preachers and Christian leaders since 2002. Encouraging pastors is a key part of the EDOM's role in leading GOBA.

A significant part of leading is training others. GOBA equips pastors & churches through monthly training events led by experts on topics including evangelism, discipleship, stewardship, pastoral leadership, preaching, ethics, doctrine, church planting, church revitalization, and more! Make sure you are on the email list to find out about upcoming training events (goba@goba.org). Sometimes churches need training for pastor search teams, budget planning, staff retreats, conflict resolution, and more. Contact Dr. Breidenbaugh at drjoelb@goba.org to request specialized training.

While our larger churches typically do missions well, many of our churches are missing out due to limited resources or planning. GOBA works to connect smaller churches to go on mission together. Moreover, some larger churches have a willingness to partner with struggling churches to help them make a bigger impact on the kingdom. GOBA hopes to engage churches to partner together in missions.

If your church wants more information about missions, please contact Dr. Breidenbaugh at drjoelb@goba.org.
