About Dr. Joel

Joel Breidenbaugh has more than 30 years of preaching and pastoral ministry experience and 25 years of teaching in higher education. A native of Vincennes, Indiana, Joel obtained a BA in Theology from the Baptist University of Florida; advanced Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy (majoring in Preaching with minors in Baptist History and New Testament Greek) from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His dissertation was on "Integrating Doctrine and Expository Preaching: A Proposal and an Analysis for the Twenty-First Century." 

Dr. Breidenbaugh has preached the gospel in nearly two dozen countries and has trained thousands of students in such schools as Liberty University, Moody Bible Institute, Grand Canyon University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and more, including Gospel Centered Bible College in SE Asia. Moreover, Joel has written dozens of scholarly articles in The Encyclopedia of Christianity in the United States; the Popular Encyclopedia of Apologetics; and the Journal of Florida Baptist Heritage. His books include Preaching for Bodybuilding; The Joy of Jesus at Christmas; and Friend, I Want to Hear Your Jesus Story. Joel has been married to Annthea since 1996, and they have 5 children, 3 children-in-law, and 2 grandchildren.
